Big announcement from Otonashi Suzu!
Just like Shirato Fuyumo, she has switched agencies too, this actress made a surprise debut with top studio S1, she is known as coming from “high society”, yet she delivers extremely passionate performances, she has moved from her original agency T-Powers to her new agency ACT, fortunately, her stage name stays the same, she can keep using her existing social media accounts.
So, why the agency switch?

If you have a good memory, you will recall that Otonashi Suzu is a highly ambitious rookie, she is very driven, she wanted to become very popular right away, but things have not gone as planned, not long ago, she posted on social media about her frustrations, follower growth was disappointing, her career was not progressing smoothly, messages to her manager went unanswered.
When I saw those posts, my first thought was, “Her agency is probably not happy about this,” it is one thing for an actress to complain about slow follower growth or stalled development, but calling out an unresponsive manager damages the company’s image, she later posted a follow-up saying the manager had replied, but about a month after that, she unfollowed her old agency on X and started following ACT instead.
Seeing her official announcement about the switch, my reaction was, “Finally out in the open,” to be honest, it is clear there was some tension with her former agency after that post, I do not know if she initiated the move or if they let her go.
As for what changes this agency switch might bring to her career, there are two main things to watch.
First is the battle to stay with S1, everyone knows this top studio has many resources and does not hesitate to cut talent, Otonashi Suzu has already released six DVD titles plus one VR work, this meets the basic threshold, she definitely wants to keep working with them, whether S1 wants to continue is another question, her new agency will need to negotiate hard.

Second is overseas opportunities, she is reportedly very eager to expand internationally, her old agency sent many actresses abroad, but given her ranking there, she probably was not a top priority, at ACT, things are different, this agency is known for pushing hard to secure overseas gigs for its talent, so it should not be long before we see this rookie appearing at international events, she was compared to Lee Da-hye when she debuted.
That is the full story behind Otonashi Suzu’s agency switch and what might come next.
